Introduction:
Ressler Mill Foundation [RMF] may occasionally assist local non-profit organizations with financial support grants. RMF intends to support those organizations with programs that align with its overall focus. We will post this on our website and send it to those who request information.
RMF Focus:
RMF exists to maintain in perpetuity the Mascot Roller Mills, the associated dam, and the Ressler family home at 2880 Stumptown Road, Ronks, Pa., and to keep the site open to the public. Other foci are:
- Stream bank restoration
- Land preservation
- Education, including best agricultural practices that preserve the soil
- Local Community efforts toward food for those in need and local libraries
Guidelines for Decision making:
- Amount of money that is available for external distribution
- Alignment with RMF focus (above)
- No salaries, general operating costs, maintenance, or repairs
- Within ten miles of Mascot, PA
- Proven non-profit (501c3)
Procedure for Applications:
- Write a letter that describes how your organization will use these monies to achieve the above guidelines. Send the letter to James Landis, Executive Director, RMF: exdir.james@ResslerMill.org
- Submit before November 1
The Board will decide which applications to support at its December meeting, with monies to be distributed by December 31.
